The useful question is not, “What label are you?”

The useful question is what kind of agreement lets you be honest, generous, and genuinely available to another person. Monogamous, monogamish, and ethically non-monogamous can all be thoughtful choices. None of them tells us, by itself, whether two people will fit.

Good matchmaking gets underneath the category: What does commitment mean to you? How do you handle jealousy? What kind of time and communication can you offer? Which expectations need to be spoken before chemistry turns into confusion?

Compatibility begins when the private answer and the public label tell the same story.

Committed and casual are different questions.

A committed introduction starts with compatibility: values, rhythm, relationship goals, and whether two lives can actually fit. Attraction matters, but it is not carrying the whole decision by itself.

A casual introduction starts with strong mutual attraction and chemistry, then adds the context that protects both people: boundaries, availability, logistics, and what each person is—or is not—promising.

Flattening both into one feed makes everyone less legible. Choosing a mode is not choosing how seriously to treat another person. It is choosing which kind of fit the introduction needs to lead with.
